John A. Cole formally trained in theatre in the late 1990’s, but spent most of his childhood completing numerous drama exams through the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA).
In early 2000 he took up traveling with twelve months voluntary services overseas in Japan and with a few year later spent six months traveling Australia. Due to this he never really had the chance to make a career in the theatre industry but has always kept in a keen interest.
He attends many performances across the country and volunteers in his local Art Centre. Before moving to Somerset in late 2017 John was Chair of Evesham Arts Association, as well an active volunteer both on technical and front of house teams at Evesham Arts Centre.
The beginning of 2018 he took up writing seriously, starting by posting weekly on this blog, then in March started writing his first novel with an intention of publication in 2019.
John is a full member of UK Theatres and BECTU. He is also a Friend of The Theatre Trust, the organisation that looks after theatres at risk. In July 2018 he will have a small amount of staging available for hire in the Somerset area (More information from: www.valestaging.co.uk).
